Want proof Buffalo’s stock in the business community is rising? The Small Business Festival, one of Inc Magazine’s Top 5 Must-Attend Conferences that Grow Your Business, is coming to Buffalo, NY on May 1-5, 2017.
Damon Piatek, board president of the Small Enterprise Alliance of WNY (SEAWNY), recently announced a partnership with the Austin-based Small Business Festival that brings their 2017 expansion to Western New York.
“We are excited beyond belief to have the opportunity to partner with the Small Business Festival, and be one of just a few metro areas that are able to take advantage of their exciting expansion this year,” Piatek said. “This is going to be an invigorating event for small businesses and the region, as we put Buffalo Niagara on the map as a place where small business is thriving.”
In conjunction with National Small Business Week, this festival combines free and paid events that focus on new tech, tools and services that will grow profits, free up time and help you develop a better strategy for small business success.
Understanding and Using Data: A Must Attend Event
One of Buffalo Tech Consulting’s mission is educate business owners in Western New York on the importance of responsibly incorporating consumer data into their business operations.
In 2017, a new “gold-rush” happening under everyone’s nose – and its consumer data. It’s being harvested, collected, sold and utilized everywhere, including on Wall Street. I personally can’t think of an industry that doesn’t utilize consumer data in some form. Therefore, business owners in all industries need to get on board with this concept or risk losing market share in the near future.
Understanding and Using Data, a series of talks scheduled for May 1, 2017 at 3:00pm, covers topics such as: How Secure is My Company’s Data?, Using Data to Grow Your Small Business and Turning Social Media Into Sales.
This particular event is being held at the Microsoft Store inside the Walden Galleria (1 Walden Galleria, Buffalo, NY), with others happening elsewhere in the city of Buffalo.
Buffalo Tech Consulting will be attending Understanding and Using Data and other talks throughout the week.
